WEDDING FAVORS

IDEAS TO BEGIN YOUR SEARCH!!

Favors for the wedding are a special remembrance for guests to take with them. The style and formality of your wedding will give you a start when deciding upon favors.

Here are some ideas:
1. Fill clear glass ornament balls with dried flowers. Insert a ribbon with the name of the couple and the date written in silver or gold. Tie a bow of white ribbon on top.

2. Have a white ribbon printed with the bride and groom's names. Tie it in a bow and place it on top of some big silver bells.

3. Decorate small vine wreaths with dried flowers to match the bride's bouquet. These make cute napkin rings.

4. Cut the stamens out of some long-stemmed, white silk or plastic roses. Fill small mesh bags with rice and tie the tops with white or silver curling ribbon. Hot-glue a mesh bag into the middle of each flower. Untie the bows if you want to toss the rice at the bride and groom.

5. Make labels with the date of the wedding and the bride and groom's names on them. Stick them to bottles of bubbles.

6. Have a wedding portrait drawn by a court reporter or newspaper cartoonist.

7. Instead of a guest book, take Polaroid pictures and have guests sign their pictures. Put these pictures into a photo album.

8. Have the bridesmaids carry lanterns, which will double as bridesmaids' gifts. Cover them with ivy or flowers.

9. Make party crackers, with fun gifts placed inside of empty paper towel rolls, wrapped in pretty tissue paper. Tie the ends with curling ribbons.

10. Have postcards made using the best engagement photos and write a special note on each.

11. Place 2 candy kisses on a colored plastic spoon and tie with colored tulle. On a small card type "A heartful of thanks, A spoonful of kisses. From (name) & (name), The new Mr. & Mrs." Punch a hole in the corner and use a ribbon to secure to the spoon.

12. Potpourri Champagne Flutes
Get miniature champagne flutes from Michael's or another hobby store in your area and fill them with potpourri. Tie a circle tulle over the top and secure it at the flute's stem with satin ribbon (personalized with the bride and groom's name and wedding date).

13. Purchase inexpensive little silver boxes and fill with chocolates.

14. Purchase heart shaped cookie cutters. Place into little satin bags with ribbons.

Take your time and find the perfect wedding favor. Remember that it will be one of those special things that people will save to remember the occasion.

Whatever wedding favor you choose, let it be a reflection of you. Have fun, and trust your judgement that you are making the right choice.
